This is a very topical issue which affects most of the castles and restoration problems related to them. Many castles, although ruins, of course can be recovered with new functions. The restoration begins with the assignment of the new functions that will allow the monument to obtain the necessary funding to carry out the restoration works and for the continued operation of the structure.

Dei Fieschi Castle

Savignone (GE)

Commissioned by the City of Savignone (GE) The project involves the recovery of the preserved castle in ruins near a cliff. It is a structure abandoned for centuries, however, the structure can be retrieved for display. The rooms located in horseshoe shape into the tower, geometry used in the fifteenth century, can be indeed recovered and used as an exhibition space to house the history of the castle itself, known for the events related to the legendary "conspiracy of the Fieschi”. The project is completed, works will begin soon.
