The Font of San Rufino
Assisi (PG)
Commissioned by the City of Assisi - The intervention on the font represented a chance to acquire relevant information for investigation of one of the oldest fonts of the city of Assisi. The font, of medieval origin, preserves the oldest coat of arms of the City and has often been amended over the centuries up to the actual conformation. On that occasion some elements belonging to the medieval structure were found. The conservative restoration was performed to eliminate the many patinas, incrustations and alterations on the monument and to restore its original shape.
